LabTutor Software Used by Talented Middle School Students at Michigan State University

A group of twenty talented middle school students recently explored physiological concepts using PowerLab systems with LabTutor software at a two-week residential program that is held annually at Michigan State University (MSU). The program was so successful that there are plans to include LabTutor experiments in future years.

Teaching Students and Educators at West Chester University

Last month Dr Giovanni Casotti and Dr Maureen Knabb, Professors of Biology at West Chester University in Pennsylvania, hosted life science educators from across North America to share curriculum ideas, teaching experiments and laboratory techniques. As teachers to at least 400 students every year, Dr Casotti and Dr Knabb are well-qualified to share what does and doesn’t work in the laboratory classroom.

PowerLab Versatility Provides Large Cost Savings for 20 Year User, University of Wollongong

In 1988 several scientists at the University of Wollongong pioneered the use of a compact, inexpensive computer-based data acquisition and analysis system that had been developed by the newly-established company, ADInstruments. The scientists had the foresight to reject the bulky, high maintenance paper chart recorders that were more commonly-used at this time.

Research Case Study: Fish Physiology and Climate Change Takes PowerLab to Antarctica

During last year's summer season a group of researchers from New Zealand and Sweden took PowerLab to Antarctica, where it was used to assess the effects of climate change on notothenioid fish cardiovascular and respiratory physiology.
