ADInstruments has announced the release of LabTutor 4 Teaching Suite, a complete paperless solution for life-science laboratory classes. The LabTutor 4 Teaching Suite incorporates groundbreaking innovations that deliver outstanding time and cost savings whilst enhancing learning outcomes.
The new LabTutor 4 Teaching Suite comprises LabTutor software and experiments, LabAuthor, LabTutor Server, and the optional LabTutor Online.
LabTutor 4: Interactive and independent student-centred learning
A single interface for students to acquire, analyse and report on life science experiments. Contains over 80 self-contained experiments and over 450 exercises with real data acquisition using PowerLab systems, with step-by-step instructions for students and background scientific information.
LabAuthor: Customize content for your course
An included component that allows educators to easily edit standard-design experiments, or create new experiments from scratch. LabAuthor supports most HTML-based multimedia, and there is no need to learn any programming code.
LabTutor Server: Single-point management
The LabTutor Server allows educators to easily manage any number of courses, classes, students and reports from a central location. Educators can import of entire student lists from existing external databases in a single action. Back up of all student data and reports is also controlled centrally.
LabTutor Online: Remote access for students & educators
An optional addition to LabTutor that gives students access to their experiments from any computer via web browser. This allows student to prepare for labs, perform post lab analysis and submit reports outside the laboratory. Educators can also access and assess student work over the internet.
