Nursing (English) Experiments Collection
The 10 Introductory Nursing laboratories are designed to allow students, through experiments on themselves, to understand the principles of human physiology that underly an understanding of common pathophysiologies. Relevant Anatomy is also included. In addition, nursing students are introduced to some of the common measurements that they will perform in their future practice, for example, measurement of blood pressure, arterial pulses, common respiratory assessments, testing of reflexes, testing of urine samples. Each laboratory starts with a Patient or Case scenario, discussion of which follows the work done during the laboratory. Additional Patient cases are also included to illustrate the importance of the topics being studied. As with all LabTutor laboratories, each of the Nursing laboratories has a Background section that provides a framework for the understanding of the Laboratory, including Patient cases. The Report page covers not only the relevant Anatomy and Physiology that has been covered during the laboratory, but also the Patient cases that are reproduced in full together with the student’s answers to the patient case questions.
The current version of Nursing Collection is 1.1. To update to the latest version, use the link below. This experiment will only work with the latest version of LabTutor software (v. 3.0.4).
