LabChart Application: LabChart 7 for Windows
Downloading a LabChart Upgrade:
The current version of the LabChart Application is 7.1.2 . The update files below can be downloaded and used at no charge by:
- LabChart 6 users whose PowerLab and/or LabChart 6 software was delivered after March 31, 2009.
- Customers who purchased Chart Pro and LabChart Pro software in the last 5 years.
If you are using an older version of LabChart then you will have to buy an upgrade.

Release Notes for LabChart v7.1.2
LabChart v7.1.2 is compatible with Windows 7 (32 and 64-bit versions), Windows Vista (32 and 64-bit versions) and Windows XP (32-bit version) and all USB PowerLabs.

ADInstruments Forum
A link to the ADInstruments Forum has been added to the Help menu of LabChart. The menu item is disabled if no internet connection is present, or if the forum website cannot be reached.
File Import
When a document is imported from a source other than LabChart and text files, that source is now recorded in the document and can be viewed by clicking and holding in any of the recorded channels, in either the Chart or Scope View.
Guide Lines
The Chart View now has a new Guide Lines feature, allowing placement of two horizontal guide lines in the Chart View, with customizable shading. This can be used as a visual indication of threshold crossings. The channel DVM windows now have their background color matched to the Guide Lines shading of the relevant channel.
Feature Manager
Feature Manager now highlights newly available products by displaying a “New” icon next to the listed product. The product’s information panel also highlights new products with a modified graphic displaying the same “New” icon.
Hardware Support
LabChart now supports using the Polar Wireless Heart Rate Kit. The Polar Receiver gets heart rate signals from the Transmitter and displays this in a channel as a series of pulses. From this the heart rate can then be calculated using Cyclic Measurements. Stimulator
A channel marker can now be used with the second stimulator output on dual output PowerLab hardware, such as the PowerLab /30 series.
