Experiment of the Month - Reflexes and Reaction Times

One of ADInstruments more widely utilized student offerings, the Reflexes and Reactions Times experiment explores reflexes in response to a variety of stimuli as well as changes in reaction time under a variety of conditions. Students will examine a simple reflex by tapping the patellar tendon and complex reflexes in the muscles of the eye and muscles of the hand. Then students will examine which factors, such as distractions and predictability, increase and decrease reaction time and also compare reaction times to visual and auditory cues. Join us for an in depth look into this lab session classic.
