Quantitative EMG analysis in LabChart ( 21-02-2012 )

Measuring area under the rectified EMG waveform is standard practice for quantifying myoelectric signals during muscle contraction. LabChart can do this in two ways. The easiest is to use the Peak Analysis module on smoothed EMG data (Part I). A second way is to compute the integral of raw windowed EMG data and add to the Data Pad for analysis (Part II).
