ADInstruments has released Dose Response analysis software for use with PowerLab Chart data acquisition and analysis systems. The new module adds dose response specific analysis and display functions to Chart for Windows software. These functions enable researchers conducting dose response studies to progress from data acquisition to results in minutes.
The Dose Response Module uses data recorded in Chart to generate curves, and also allows quick calculation of parameters such as EC50 and Hill slopes. The new module can be used for in vivo and in vitro applications to analyze responses to chemical, electrical and physical stimulation. Typical applications include muscle contraction, cardiovascular functions including heart rate and blood pressure, and membrane potential studies. The module is particularly relevant to pharmacological studies using isolated tissue.
The new software can analyze data offline or online, and analysis can be automated or manual. Users can define and adjust calculation and analysis settings using the straightforward set-up dialogs and analysis view. Data can also be exported for use in other software as both XML and tab-delimited text files.
The Dose Response Module will be supplied with all ADInstruments Research Systems, including the organ bath, isolated heart, blood pressure and wire myograph systems. It is also available as part of Chart Pro, a suite of advanced software modules for PowerLab Chart systems.
Data recorded using PowerLab systems can comply with 21 CFR Part 11 standards when used with ADInstruments GLP software.
