Graham Milliken
Chief Executive Officer, Director
Graham Milliken is Chief Executive Officer of ADInstruments, a position he has held since 2002. In this role, he oversees the company's worldwide production, administration and marketing operations from head office in Sydney.
Graham joined ADInstruments in 1989, its second year of operation as the company's General Manager. In 1998 he moved to the United States for a three-year period to establish and manage the company's highly successful North American office.
Graham holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) from the University of New South Wales.
Michael Macknight
Chairman of the Board, Technical Director
Michael Macknight first developed his concept for a computer-based data acquisition system in 1985, as part of his Bachelor of Science at New Zealand's University of Otago. By March 1988, when Mr Macknight submitted his Masters project, MacLab (the predecessor to PowerLab) had already been launched at the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology 1987 Meeting.
Today, Mr Macknight continues to drive ADInstruments innovation and new product releases from the company's Research and Development Office in Dunedin, New Zealand.
Mr Macknight has been awarded a Bachelor of Science (Physics) and Masters of Science (Computer Science) from the University of Otago.
Professor Tony Macknight
Director, Scientific Consultant
Professor Tony Macknight was integral to his son Michael's development of PowerLab data acquisition and analysis systems. During a distinguished teaching and research career including postdoctoral research at Harvard Medical School and appointment as Professor of Physiology at the University of Otago, Professor Macknight was aware of life science's need for an improved method of recording and analyzing physiological signals.
Now retired from fulltime teaching and research, Professor Macknight continues to act as a scientific consultant to ADInstruments. This includes travelling worldwide to consult about the company's products with leading life science researchers and educators and ADInstruments staff.
Professor Macknight has been awarded an MBChB, PHD and MD, and is currently part time Professorial Research Fellow at the University of Otago.
