New MouseOx Products for Non-Invasive Cardiopulmonary Measurements

The MouseOx product range has expanded to include the new MLE1099 CollarClip^TM and MLE1100 ThroatClip^TM Sensors for multiple non-invasive cardiopulmonary measurements in free-roaming or anesthetized mice. Available separately or in kits, the MouseOx system is suitable for use with Windows computers running Windows 98 or later.


All MouseOx Kits requires one of the following available MouseOx® oximeter

• MLE1070/3-V MouseOx® Oximeter (3 ft Sensor)
• MLE1070/6-V MouseOx® Oximeter (6 ft Sensor)
• MLE1070/SO-V MouseOx® Oximeter with Pulse Signal Output (6 ft Sensor)

Other new MouseOx products include MLE1101 Universal Connector Cable to connect the CollarClip^TM or ThroatClip^TM Sensors to the MouseOx oximeters, MLE1103 ManualSpin^TM Hand Commutator and MLE1104 AutoSpin^TM Low-Torque Electronic Commutator for use with free roaming mice to prevent tangling of the Connector Cable, MLE1109 STARR Light Blocker to cover the sensors from light for more accurate data and MLE1110 Blank Clips for acclimatizing mice to wearing CollarClip^TM Sensors or to remove hair from the neck of dark-furred mice (with the aid of a depilatory cream).

MRI Compatibility

The MLE1111 MRI Sensor (20 ft) is also available for direct connection to the MouseOx oximeter allowing recording of multiple non-invasive cardiopulmonary measurements in a magnetic resonance imaging environment.

Cardiopulmonary signals that can be measured from the MouseOx oximeter in real time include:

• Arterial oxygen saturation (SpO2 %)
• Heart rate (BPM)
  
• Respiratory rate (BrPM)
  
• Pulse distention

The MouseOx Oximeter can be used with MLE1071 STARR-Link Analog Output Module that sends seven analog outputs of the MouseOx pulmonary parameters directly into PowerLab data acquisition systems allowing it to be both Windows and Macintosh compatible.
