PowerLab Workshops in Kenya and South Africa

ADInstruments and LASEC SA are conducting a PowerLab workshop series throughout southern Africa in July and August this year. Life science researchers and educators will be able to gain hands-on experience with PowerLab data acquisition systems, and discuss their applications with our international support staff.
First Stop - KenyaADInstruments will be joining with the International Union of Physiological Sciences (IUPS) and LASEC SA to conduct a workshop in Nairobi, Kenya. The workshop will be held over two days and precede the 5th International Congress of the African Association of Physiological Sciences.
Participants can expect hands-on experience with the latest technology for physiology teaching, including the revolutionary new teaching tool LabTutor.
Our expert panel of presenters includes some of the most experienced medical educators in their field including Professor Tony Macknight and Professor Ann Sefton. Participants will also be given the opportunity to discuss their research applications and obtain first-hand experience with the latest acquisition and analysis software, LabChart, demonstrated by Dr Peter Parslow.

Next Stop - Stellenbosch, Johannesburg, DurbanFollowing the Kenyan workshop, ADInstruments and LASEC SA will be hosting a series of workshops in South Africa. Attendees will gain experience using the LabTutor and LabChart programs, as well as seeing a demonstration of applications including:
- Exercise Physiology
- ECG, EMG in humans
- Nerve conduction velocity, blood pressure and ECG in animals
Participants will also have the opportunity to ask our PowerLab experts questions on their research and teaching applications.
