 LabChart leads the life science market in innovation and development. Version 6.1 for Windows incorporates brand new features and improved performance for existing functions.
Virtually Unlimited File Size
LabChart v6.1 can now sample up to 16 terabytes (or 16 000 GB) of compressed data. In real terms, sampling will now only be limited by your computer’s disk space and performance.
This creates new possibilities for researchers completing sleep studies, chronic applications and remote animal monitoring. Other LabChart v6.1 improvements that support very large files include:
- Chart View channel compression increased from 2k:1 to 20k:1, allowing you to observe trends across much longer recording periods
- Cyclic Measurement performance improved for very large data files
 Chart View displaying increased compression options up to 20k:1.
New Languages - Chinese and Japanese Versions
Life science researchers and educators speaking Japanese and simplified Chinese can now upgrade from previous versions of Chart to LabChart 6, and take advantage of the most advanced software for PowerLab systems yet.
Compatibility with 64-bit Windows Vista Editions
LabChart v6.1 is now available for both 32-bit and 64-bit editions of the Windows Vista operating system. This allows LabChart users to take advantage of the increased memory capabilities in 64-bit editions of Vista. 64-bit versions of LabChart are available in English, Chinese and Japanese.
No More Hardware Wizards - Seamless PowerLab Hardware Installation
The ADInstruments PowerLab USB driver included with LabChart v6.1 has been digitally signed by Microsoft for use with Windows XP and Vista (32 and 64-bit). This means your computer will now recognize and install any PowerLab you connect without launching the Microsoft Hardware Wizard, making it easy to interchange computers and PowerLab units in large research and teaching laboratories.
Enhanced Macro Editing and Advanced Scripting
The ability to edit macros and create your own advanced data recording and analysis scripts is one of LabChart 6 for Windows' most popular features. LabChart v6.1 responds to the specific feedback we've received from advanced LabChart users worldwide, and includes a range of new scripting capabilities and the option of exporting macros as .vbs or .bas script files so they can be edited and run from Windows or external scripting applications.

- Help Options for Modules and Extensions – LabChart's inbuilt "Help Center" can now search all available Module and Extension PDF documentation, and context-sensitive Help Buttons have now been added to dialogs in our most popular extensions.
- Custom Layout – You can now label the toolbar buttons for any custom layouts you create, rather than LabChart simply labelling them Layout 1, Layout 2, Layout 3 etc.
- Averaging (Decimation) in Smoothing – This new option in the Smoothing channel calculation allows smoothing in much larger windows than the existing options.

- LabChart v6.1 is available as a free update to all registered LabChart 6, LabChart Pro and Chart Pro users
- Existing Chart users can purchase an upgrade to LabChart 6. Please check that your operating system and PowerLab hardware are compatible with LabChart 6 before making any purchasing decisions
