PowerLab stars in National Geographic series, Humanly Impossible

How can strongman Franz Mullner physically hold back a top end sports car at full throttle? In the first episode of the National Geographic series, Humanly Impossible, experts including Dr Joe Simonetta from ADInstruments, deconstruct how Franz uses multiple muscle groups to hold back forces that could split an average man in two.

A PowerLab system with LabChart software is used to help decode the science behind this and other bizarre stunts to tell us why they aren't... Humanly Impossible. Subsequent episodes feature fire walking, body contortions, suspension by skin tissue, long-term breath holding and more.

A preview of the Humanly Impossible video is available on the National Geographic website.
