35 series PowerLab data acquisition systems for research

Cleaner signals, cleaner bench, cleaner environment.

While PowerLab data acquisition systems have always met and surpassed industry and regulatory standards of quality and safety, the new 35 series PowerLab units raise the bar to another level. The new series provides the cleanest signal recording using the smallest and most environmentally friendly PowerLab unit to date.

Cleaner signals

New hardware filters

Because labs contain electronic equipment, background electromagnetic interference often impacts the integrity of the signals that are acquired. PowerLab units already contain a number of hardware and software filters that allow the acquisition of quality signals. Now, with the new noise filters located just behind the inputs, removal of unwanted frequencies occurs as the signal comes in, not after it is processed.

EMC and IEC compliance

Our units are tested and certified by an independent and internationally recognized testing house. The tests carried out further aid signal quality and guarantee user safety. Test carried out include:

Immunity -

  • Electrostatic Discharge IEC61000-4-2
  • Radiated RF Immunity IEC61000-4-3
  • Electrical Fast Transient/Burst IEC61000-4-4
  • Surge Immunity IEC61000-4-5
  • Conducted RF Immunity IEC61000-4-6
  • Voltage Dips and Interruptions IEC61000-4-11

Emissions -

  • Radiated emissions CISPR11
  • Conducted emissions CISPR11

Cleaner bench

Smaller size and stackable

The new 35 series PowerLab also makes a smaller footprint on your lab bench. Apart from being smaller in size, the new inter-lockable non-slip rubber feet allow for PowerLab units and front-ends to be neatly stacked (please refer to your workplace health and safety guidelines).

Cleaner environment

Not only does the new PowerLab produce cleaner signal traces, it treads lightly on the earth - an important consideration in today's world.

Green manufacturing and packaging

The 35 series is approximately 33% smaller and 40% lighter than previous models and is shipped in a smaller, 100% recyclable box, made from recycled materials. The decreased size, weight and number of parts appreciably reduces the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions of the 35 series manufacture and shipping.

RoHS compliant parts

In accordance with our commitment to the RoHS Directive, the new 35 series PowerLab systems are built with parts that comply with the RoHS directive, resulting in the elimination of heavy metals. The 35 series models are also WEEE compliant.

Outstanding quality

High quality parts and manufacturing

The main body of the new PowerLab and Front-end units is made from two pieces of aluminum giving the new units increased strength and reduced weight, in addition to the eye-catching design. Furthermore, all sourced electronic components are purchased from quality suppliers and the electronic boards are kitted out using top-end robots. Final assembly and testing is done in-house to ensure top quality and performance.

ADInstruments PowerLab data acquisition units and Front-end signal conditioners are manufactured under internationally recognized safety standards set by the ISO 9001:2008 Quality System.
