New: High Current Stimulator for In Vitro Studies

The ML155 Stimulator HC provides electrically isolated, constant current stimulation of nerve, muscle or tissue samples. The current source can deliver pulses up to 100 mA at 100 V compliance levels. It can be used in both research and teaching applications, including the LabTutor pharmacology experiment suite.

May User in Focus : Fish Physiology and Climate Change Takes PowerLab to Antarctica

In 2007, the effect of climate change on notothenioid fish prompted researchers from New Zealand and Sweden to pack up their PowerLab systems and travel to the Scott Base in Antarctica. The researchers used PowerLab to investigate how a rise in temperature in the McMurdo Sound affects the cardiovascular and respiratory physiology of the borch.

PVAN Extension for LabChart 6 for Windows Now Available

The PVAN Extension is now available for LabChart 6 for Windows. This extension exports data recorded in LabChart directly into Millar Instruments’ PVAN software application for calculation of a wide range of cardiovascular parameters. The PVAN Extension is available as a free-of-charge download for registered LabChart 6 users.

PowerLab Workshops in Kenya and South Africa

This July and August, ADInstruments will be running a series of workshops in Africa. The workshops will coincide with the 5th International Congress of the African Association of Physiological Sciences. The first workshop will be held at the University of Nairobi, Kenya before the Congress. After the congress, a series of workshops will be held across South Africa in Stellenbosch, Johannesburg and Durban.
