Low-Noise, High Gain Neuro Amp EX for Human & Animal Extracellular Recording

The Neuro Amp EX, ADInstruments' newest biological amplifier for use with PowerLab®, records extracellular potentials. The device is certified safe for human use, and has a variety of human and animal applications. It is supplied with its own high impedance headstage, and works with a wide range of commercially available metal microelectrodes.

Ultra Low-Noise

The low-noise, high-gain amplifier is suitable for recording environments requiring a wide bandpass (100 Hz – 5kHz) and high signal to noise ratio. The slimline, ultra-low noise (~22 µVrms) headstage provides a preamplification gain of 100 x and a 10 Hz filter, with additional filtering options (100 Hz – 5 kHz) including high-pass, notch and main filters.

Save time with Peak Analysis

Using Peak Analysis, life scientists can reduce the amount of time required to detect and analyze peaks in waveform data. The software automatically detects peaks and calculates an extensive range of parameters, displaying peaks, markers and parameters in easy-to-understand graphical and numerical formats.

Specialized Analysis Types

Users can select from six different preset analysis types, designed to suit general and specific physiological waveforms. Analysis types include action potentials, cardiac action potentials, evoked

Innovative Analysis Views

Each detected peak can be examined individually in the Peak Analysis View. This graphical display shows each individual peak's waveform cursor coordinates and calculated parameters including peak area and width.

Peaks and their parameters are also logged into a Table View. Researchers can select which parameters are included in the Table View, and export the table as a text file to other applications.

Any calculated parameter may also be displayed as a signal in an individual LabChart channel. This feature is particularly useful when using the module online.
