New LabChart 7.0 Features
Scope View (Windows)
LabChart 7 for Windows platform features Scope View to provide an additional way of viewing and analyzing LabChart data. Simultaneous recording can be performed using Chart View (continuous signals) and Scope View (sweeps). Scope View features:
- 32-channel support (up to 32 display channels including 16 inputs)
- Unlimited number of pages/sweeps
- New trigger and sampling options
- Ability to automatically exclude unwanted data from averages
- Channel calculations support
- Automation with Macros and advanced scripting
- Manual and automated data extraction to Data Pad
- Event mode for averaging signals using event-detecting tools such as Cyclic Measurements or the Peak Analysis Module
- Overlay Slider to control the number of pages to be displayed in an overlay view

Welcome Center
The Welcome Center provides access to LabChart resources and materials. The easy-to-navigate interface features the Recent Files and Gallery panel. You now have the ability to clone document settings and find/open a file location in your computer. LabChart 7 for Windows also features the LabChart Package system to package LabChart materials and resources for installation into Welcome Center gallery to be shared with colleagues, collaborators and students.

Feature Manager
Feature Manager allows you to browse and obtain any of ADInstruments software from one interface. The entire list of available ADInstruments software including Modules and Extensions are now categorized in groups making it easier to find a product that suits your application. Manual or automatic software update checks can be performed to ensure you have the most up-to-date version of LabChart software, Modules and Extensions.

LabChart Packages (ADIPak) (Windows)
LabChart 7 for Windows users are now able to package LabChart files and other resources into a LabChart package that can be shared with colleagues. Upon installation, the packaged files are automatically listed in the Welcome Center.
Enhanced “Help Center” (Windows)
LabChart 7 Help Center now covers all LabChart Extensions and Modules with LabChart Modules incorporating step-by-step tutorials.
Digital Output Extension
The Digital Output Extension is now a standard feature in LabChart 7 for the management and control of digital output lines used to trigger devices such as stimulators or heating baths.

“Save as Settings” Option
It is now easier than ever to save the settings from a LabChart document and access them at a later stage.
'Save as Settings' is available in the File menu. Settings files are easily accessed from the Recent Files and Gallery panels in LabChart 7 Welcome Center.
Cyclic Measurements (Now on Mac)
Cyclic Variables in Macintosh has now been replaced with Cyclic Measurements. Cyclic Measurements in Windows and Macintosh features a wide range of statistics and functions that can be used to analyze periodic or cyclic signals.
Select/Every Option for ‘Timed Add to Data Pad’
With the new Select/Every option available for ‘Timed Add to Data Pad’, you now have the flexibility to choose either all or a selection of LabChart data to be added to Data Pad in real time. In conjunction with LabChart OLE linking, real time plotting of X-Y curves in Excel is possible allowing qualitative linear regression analysis.

New Sampling/Triggering Dialog (Windows)
The ‘Trigger’ dialog has been replaced with the ‘Sampling’ dialog offering additional option of handling multiple blocks recording in Scope View. Start/stop recording can be controlled using an external trigger source, a stimulator or by setting a threshold voltage to trigger from one of the recording channels.
How to Get LabChart 7 and LabChart 7 Pro
LabChart v7.0 for Windows and LabChart v7.0 for Macintosh are now available from our
software updates section.
- If you purchased and received a PowerLab System and/or LabChart 6 from March 1, 2009 onwards, you can update to LabChart 7 free-of-charge. Your existing License will work with the download.
- All Chart Pro* and LabChart Pro users are also able to update to LabChart 7 free-of-charge as part of their five years of free software updates.
- Existing PowerLab users can purchase an upgrade to LabChart 7 either through our online store or by contacting your nearest ADInstruments representative.

*Note: Older hardware may not be compatible. Chart and Chart Pro users are advised to contact ADInstruments for advice regarding hardware compatibility (including computers) before upgrading to LabChart 7 and LabChart 7 Pro.
