LabChart Reader 7.3 for Mac: New analysis and compatibility features

LabChart 7.3 Reader for Mac includes a number of great features available in the Windows version of LabChart and LabChart Reader. These include the new high-speed DataPad and Scope View.

LabChart Reader 7.3 now also opens multiple documents saved on both Windows and Macintosh machines (file format now interchangeable), to provide a free and easy way to view your data and perform limited analyses - whether you are traveling with no lab access, or want to show data to colleagues at another institution.

High-speed, unrestricted Data Pad

The new Data Pad (right) incorporates parallel processing, multi reading and multi core support for even faster high-capacity data extraction and analysis, so you can:

• Add multiple data sheets
• Use formulas and calculations
• Edit individual cells
• Remove NaNs
• Extract data to an unrestricted number of rows
  (previously restricted to 16000)
• Access frequently used functions from convenient drop-down menus

Scope View

For the first time, Mac users can display and manipulate sweep data using Scope View with LabChart Reader 7.3 for Mac (shown right).

Scope View allows you to view multiple "pages" of data for comparison - much like the sweeps of an oscilloscope - for easy analysis of cyclic measurements. (Pages are generated from automatically detected and averaged events in LabChart.)

With LabChart Reader's Scope View you can easily visualize discrete data sets, such as neuro or psychophysiology data (i.e. evoked response, EEG, ERG, SNA, intra and extracellular action potentials, microneurography, etc.).

Multiple open document support
Simultaneously open multiple LabChart files.

Improved file compatibility
LabChart data files generated on Windows computers can be opened natively with LabChart Reader for Mac. LabChart Reader for Mac can also display Scope View data and channel calculations from *.adicht files saved in Windows.

Minimum hardware requirements: Mac OS X Snow Leopard (version 10.6) or later, and Intel-based Macs.

New features in LabChart Reader 7.3 for Mac are also available in the Windows versions of LabChart and LabChart Reader 7.3. As we move toward a common code between Windows and Mac versions of LabChart, LabChart Reader for Mac will be the link between the two platforms. LabChart Reader 7.3 is the first step towards our goal of LabChart for Windows and Mac being built from a common code base. Over time, this will enrich both products and allow you to enjoy the same great features regardless of your choice of platform.
