The latest release of LabChart Reader for Mac has several great new features to enhance the way you view and analyze your LabChart data. Scope View data is now able to be displayed and manipulated. An enhanced Data Pad is included, which allows the use of formulas and multiple sheets. Under the hood, LabChart Reader has been completely re-engineered to take advantage of new Mac OS X technologies. Native support for LabChart for Windows files and the ability to have multiple documents open concurrently are additional benefits of LabChart Reader’s code rewrite.

Researchers in Montpellier are using PowerLab systems to simultaneously measure intracardiac electrical activity and surface ECGs in transgenic mice. The technique is being used to investigate the mechanisms underlying cardiac pathologies such as heart failure and arrhythmic diseases.

The new version of LabChart features a redesigned Data Pad with parallel processing, full Unicode support and no row restriction for rapid, high-capacity data logging and analysis. Scope View now incorporates baseline subtraction for removal of background, and Spectrum View lets you stack and overlay PSD plots. LabChart 7.3 also includes support for the new Playback File extension, which lets you stream your existing files into LabChart in real time.

ADInstruments has released LabChart 7.2 to provide new features for fast tracking research, including the ability to sample from multiple PowerLab systems and BioHarness Telemetry Systems into the same document. Up to 32 channels of raw data can be recorded into a single LabChart file, making it ideal for applications such as psychophysiology and telemetry. LabChart 7.2 also enables faster analysis of data using its new Analysis Manager that works with current versions of popular LabChart Modules. Other new features include continuous auto-scale, new extension support and new data pad features.

LabChart Reader is ideal for reviewing data whilst travelling or quickly collaborating with research partners who are interstate or overseas. LabChart Reader 7.2 is a free download that offers many new features, making data review and collaboration easier for researchers. You can use LabChart Reader 7.2 to view files saved in LabChart 7.2 or earlier.

PowerLab users across Europe are invited to take part in our LabChart training courses in Paris this November. We are running French-language LabChart Level I and II training courses for scientists new to computerised data acquisition and analysis. Additionally, we are also running an English-language LabChart Level III training course for experienced PowerLab users who want to learn more about LabChart’s advanced analysis and automation functions.

The new PV Loop Module for LabChart 7.1 provides an easy way to analyze pressure volume loops for hemodynamic research in animals. Loop area and a variety of hemodynamic parameters can be calculated, including pressure-volume area, stroke work, and cardiac output. The specially designed Analysis Manager allows you to select and save the settings of data analyses, and a variety of regression analysis plots are available.
