ADInstruments is will be providing software training for PowerLab users across Germany throughout September and October. On Monday September 27 we are holding LabChart training courses in Cologne. On Friday September 17 we are running a LabTutor and LabAuthor workshop in Hamburg, and on Friday October 1 we are holding a LabAuthor workshop in Ulm.

Your next chance to take part in a software training course and get more out of your PowerLab systems will be in Oxford next month. On Wednesday August 11 we are running LabChart Level I and II training courses. On Thursday August 12 we are running a LabChart Level III course, as well as LabAuthor Level I and II for LabTutor educators.

LabChart software updates are now available. LabChart 7.1.2 provides enhancements to Chart View, Feature Manager, Help menu, scripting and others.

PowerLab systems with LabChart software were featured on this week's Child of Our Time television programme broadcast by BBC One in the United Kingdom. The systems were used to acquire and display a volunteer's heart rate as they completed a stressful mathematical task in front of a studio audience.

The ADInstruments citations database contains 8137 research publications naming ADInstruments equipment, that are published in over 800 scientific journals including Cell, Nature and Science. In addition, over 18000 research publications citing the use of ADInstruments equipment are available to search on Google Scholar.

The new PV Loop Module for LabChart 7.1 provides an easy way to analyze pressure volume loops for hemodynamic research in animals. Loop area and a variety of hemodynamic parameters can be calculated, including pressure-volume area, stroke work, and cardiac output. The specially designed Analysis Manager allows you to select and save the settings of data analyses, and a variety of regression analysis plots are available.

6th Annual ADInstruments Workshop in conjunction with the 24th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Malaysian Society of Pharmacology & Physiology. Experienced support staff will be available throughout the workshops to give participants the opportunity to discuss their own research and teaching applications.

Millar Instruments, Telemetry Research and ADInstruments are pleased to announce the release of the MLE1024 TR/Millar Pressure Transmitter. It is the smallest wireless catheter released to date, with a sensor tip measuring just 2Fr (0.66mm). The MLE1024 has an extremely low drift offset and sets a new standard for telemetry research in small animals, by combining the latest in telecommunications technology and new production processes.
