Harvard is the oldest institution of higher education in the United States, established in 1636 in the Massachusetts Bay Colony. The University currently owns over 100 PowerLab systems. These systems are used in the undergraduate labs at the Harvard University Science Center for teaching, as well as university-affiliated hospitals and research centers, such as the Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Public School of Health, McLean Hospital, Beth Israel Deconess Medical Center, Childrens Hospital and the Brigham and Women's Hospital. PowerLab systems are used mainly for acquiring data in functional MRI, Langendorff Heart studies, wire myography, EOG and EEG recordings, telemetry, in vivo arterial and venous blood pressure, behavioral and sleep studies, biomechanics and cardiac output for the following areas of study: |

3 - University of Oxford, United Kingdom
|
The United Kingdom’s University of Oxford is the world’s oldest English-language speaking university. The University purchased its first ADInstruments data acquisition system in 1990, and has since acquired in excess of 70 PowerLab systems. Educators use PowerLab systems with both LabChart and LabTutor software to teach engineering, physiology and medical students. PowerLab systems are also used in the University-affiliated research centers located in the nearby John Radcliffe and Churchill Hospitals. Established in 1853, the University of Melbourne is a public-spirited institution that makes distinctive contributions to society in research, teaching and knowledge transfer. Peking University was originally known as the Imperial University of Peking. Founded in 1898, it was the first national university covering comprehensive disciplines in China, and has been a leading institution of higher education in China since its establishment. 53 members of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), 7 members of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), and 14 members of the Third World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) comprise just some of the staff found at this outstanding educational institute.
