Since 2008, ADInstruments have been following the research of a group of Canadian researchers using PowerLab to study human physiology in space. Recent updates to this research have been published in The Journal of Applied Physiology, and the article has been featured as our Paper of the Week.
18th January 2012 -
ADInstruments Japan will be demonstrating PowerLab research and education systems and the meeting's main exhibition. Additionally, the Education Committee of the Physiological Society of Japan will conduct Model Class Sessions consisting of a student lab component that highlights the use of PowerLab Teaching Systems in the investigation of nerve and muscle function in humans.

ADInstruments held two successful PowerLab workshops in May, at the TONGJI Medical College (HUAZHONG University of Science and Technology) and The Fourth Military Medical University. Both workshops were well attended, with more than 130 professors and students from over 30 top Chinese universities present. Due to the attendees' positive reception, ADInstruments plans to hold similar training events at these prestigious institutes in the future.

A Parisian research group are using PowerLab systems to help understand why we mimic the emotional facial expressions we perceive in others during social interactions. As part of their studies, the group has configured their PowerLab’s digital inputs to automatically annotate LabChart’s physiological recordings with events generated by their choice of experiment design and presentation software, E-Prime.
