State-of-the-art Millar Mikro-Tip catheters provide a simple, efficient and highly accurate method for measuring cardiovascular pressures. Because the sensor can be positioned at the source of the signal, high fidelity data free from movement artifacts can be acquired.

Millar catheters integrate seamlessly with the ADInstruments Blood Pressure Foundation System for research which provides the essential hardware and software (including LabChart Pro) for recording and analyzing blood pressure signals.

Blood Pressure Foundation Research System

This foundation system can be used with a wide range of Mikro-Tip pressure catheters, including the SPR-524 (for large animals) and is configured specifically for measuring blood pressure. It is supplied with LabChart Pro software, which includes the Blood Pressure Analysis module for additional analysis of pressure data, such as maximum and minimum pressures, end diastolic pressure, maximum and minimum dP/dt and more.

Due to the wide range of catheter types and configurations, they must be selected in addition to the system. Millar pressure catheters can be calibrated using the MLA1052 Pressure Gauge Kit (optional extra).
