Bio Amp

Bio Amp

Overview:

The FE132 Bio Amp is a galvanically isolated, high-performance differential bio amplifier optimized for the measurement of a wide variety of biological signals such as ECG, EMG and EEG recordings. In conjunction with a PowerLab and LabChart, LabChart or Scope software a wide range of appropriate filters are available. It is supplied with a MLA2340 3 Lead Shielded Bio Amp Cable and MLA2503 Shielded Lead Wires (3 snap-on) making it suitable for human connection. An audio output is also available to help monitor signals. The Bio Amp is certified and approved for human connection.

Accessories suitable for use with the Bio Amp include:

Hardware:
ADInstruments signal conditioners only function with PowerLab data acquisition units and therefore are not suitable for use with other data acquisition systems.

Features:

  • Full electrical isolation from power-line (mains) circuitry to guarantee subject safety
  • A low-noise, high-gain differential amplifier specifically designed for biological signal measurements
  • Software-controlled low-pass, high-pass and notch filters to remove unwanted signal frequencies
  • Audio output for use with EMG or EEG signals and similar

Applications:

This Bio Amp can be used for recording EEG, ECG, EMG, EOG, ERG, sensory nerve action potentials (SNAP), visual evoked response (VER), cortical evoked potentials, and slow wave (smooth muscle) studies. For two fully isolated, high-performance differential bioamplifiers in the one unit, complete with audio output jack for headphones or powered speakers, see our Dual Bio Amp.
