The ML191 Blood FlowMeter is a single-channel laser Doppler flow meter is used with a specialized fiber optic probe to measure blood cell perfusion in the microvasculature of tissues and organs. The unit has two analog outputs that can be connected directly to a PowerLab. One output provides a Laser Doppler Flowmetry (LDF) signal and the other provides a signal proportional to percentage backscatter (BSC) from the tissue.

For surface probes, the MSP140AR Adhesive Rings for Surface Probes are available for purchase separately.
 
Probes shipped with the ML191 Blood FlowMeter are calibrated in the factory and do not require further calibration. For probes that are purchased separately, the MLA191 Calibration Kit is available and purchased separately. (Please note that the calibration solution of the MLA191 has a use by date).

Applications include:
  • Evaluation of vasoactive drugs on microcirculation
  • monitoring of peripheral circulation
  • monitoring of exposed animal tissue microcirculation
