EOG Pod

EOG Pod

Overview:

The  ML317 EOG Pod utilizes the steady corneal-retinal potential in the detection of eye movement and position. The unit is electrically isolated and is supplied with MLA2504 Shielded Lead Wires (B/G/W, 3 pk) which snap connect to conductive (Ag/AgCl) adhesive electrodes (MLA1010).

The Pod plugs directly into a PowerLab Pod port or the ML305 Pod Expander for use with PowerLabs or MacLabs which have no Pod ports.

Hardware:
ADInstruments signal conditioners only function with PowerLab data acquisition units and therefore are not suitable for use with other data acquisition systems.

Features:

  • DC coupling with a fixed low-pass filter (500 Hz) to remove high frequencies.
  • An offset knob to manually remove DC drift. The offset control provides ±15 mV of offset range (at input) for all range selections.
  • Steady corneal-retinal potential (dipole) for the detection of eye movement and position.

Applications:

The EOG Pod is used to measure and display eye movement and position. In the human the EOG Pod can be used in the measurement of saccadic and pursuit eye movements. It is ideal for use in undergraduate teaching laboratories. For more information related to EOG measurements visit the EOG application page.
