Overview:
The ML880B103 Telemetry Biopotential Foundation System contains the hardware and software (listed below) to record and analyze one biopotential signal such as ECG EMG, EOG or EEG, as well as body temperature, from conscious animals, with the purchase of compatible telemetry transmitters.
The system includes the ML319 TR Scheduler Pod and LabChart Scheduler Extension, allowing the user to schedule recording periods and record data sequentially from up to eight individual transmitters.
Continuous 24 hour charging/recording is also supported for up to eight small animal transmitters simultaneously, with the use of MLE1010 Telemetry Biopotential Transmitters and additional MLE1006CPS Wireless Continuous Power Suppliers and MLE1051SUB Biopotential Subsidiary Receivers.
No transmitters are included in this system. Customers must select the number, type and size (small or large animal) of transmitter, and order these items separately.
The ML880B103 Telemetry Biopotential Foundation System includes:
- 1x ML880 16 channel PowerLab with LabChart and Scope software
- 1x MLU260 LabChart Pro software
- 1x ML319 TR Scheduler Pod
- 1x MLE1051 Biopotential Master Receiver Controller (TR101)
- 1x MLE1006CPS Wireless Continuous Power Supplier (Small Animal, TR802)
- 2x MLAC01 BNC-BNC cables (for the MRC unit to output the biopotential and temperature signals).
Recommended Telemetry Transmitters:
Transmitters are not included in Telemetry Foundation Systems. When ordering the ML880B103 Telemetry Biopotential Foundation System, the following transmitters are recommended:
- MLE1010 Telemetry Biopotential Transmitter (TR40B for small animals ≥200 g)
must use the MLE1006CPS Wireless Continuous Power Supplier (Small Animal, TR802) - MLE1011 Telemetry Biopotential Transmitter (TR70B for large animals ≥1.5 kg)
must use the MLE1007WPC Wireless Power Charger (Large Animal, TR871)
Accessories:
- The MLE1150 Telemetry Antenna Extension (TRAntX) for Telemetry Receivers consists of a four metre extension cable between receiver and antenna. The antenna extension enables the antenna to be placed closer to the animal in large animal cages, insituations where the receiver cannot be placed near cage
Scheduled data recording:
Scheduled recordings of the biopotential and temperature channels can be made consecutively from up to 8x transmitters (each transmitting on a unique frequency), using:
- ML880B103 Telemetry Biopotential Foundation System, and either
- MLE1006CPS Wireless Continuous Power Supplier (Small Animal, TR802, included with the Foundation System) or the MLE1007WPC Wireless Power Charger (Large Animal, TR871, purchased separately) and
- the required number of compatible telemetry transmitters
Continuous data recording:
The MLE1010 Telemetry Biopotential Transmitter supports continuous charging/recording in rats. Continuous recording of the biopotential and temperature channels can be made from up to 8x transmitters (each transmitting on a unique frequency), using:
- ML880B103 Telemetry Biopotential Foundation System,
- the required number (N)x of compatible telemetry transmitters,
- (N-1)x MLE1006CPS Wireless Continuous Power Supplier (Small Animal, TR802),
- (N-1)x MLE1051SUB Biopotential Subsidiary Receiver (TR101SUB) and
- the required number of MLAC01 BNC-BNC cables
Data Acquisition and Analysis:
The PowerLab 16/30 is shipped with ADInstruments software (LabChart and Scope), associated manuals and cables. LabChart Pro software includes all the ADInstruments LabChart Modules (excluding GLP). LabChart Pro Modules provide application specific data acquisition, analysis and display features.

In purchasing this system containing LabChart Pro, customers are entitled to 5 years of FREE LabChart Pro software upgrades and updates. Purchasers are also entitled to any new ADInstruments modules released during this 5 year period (excludes GLP software).
