Overview:
The ML880B104 Telemetry Pressure Foundation System contains the hardware and software to record and analyze intravascular or intralumen pressure as well as body temperature, from conscious animals, with the purchase of compatible telemetry transmitters.
The system includes the ML319 TR Scheduler Pod and LabChart Scheduler Extension, allowing the user to schedule recording periods and record data sequentially from up to 8 individual transmitters.
Continuous 24 hour charging/recording is also supported for up to eight small animal transmitters simultaneously, with the use of MLE1014 Telemetry Pressure Transmitters and additional MLE1006CPS Wireless Continuous Power Suppliers and MLE1131SUB Pressure Subsidiary Receivers.
No transmitters are included in this system. Customers must select the number, type and size (small or large animal) of transmitter, and order these items separately.
The ML880B104 Telemetry Pressure Foundation System includes:
- 1x ML880 16 channel PowerLab with LabChart and Scope software
- 1x MLU260 LabChart Pro software
- 1x ML319 TR Scheduler Pod
- 1x MLE1131 Pressure Master Receiver Controller (TR131)
- 1x MLE1006CPS Wireless Continuous Power Supplier (Small Animal, TR802)
- 2x MLAC01 BNC-BNC cables (for the MRC unit to output the pressure and temperature signals)
Recommended Telemetry Transmitters:
Transmitters are not included in Telemetry Foundation Systems. When ordering the ML880B104 Telemetry Pressure Foundation System, the following transmitters are recommended:
- MLE1014 Telemetry Pressure Transmitter (TR43P for small animals ≥200 g)
must use the MLE1006CPS Wireless Continuous Power Supplier (Small Animal, TR802) - MLE1015 Telemetry Pressure Transmitter (TR73P for all animals ≥1.5 kg)
must use the MLE1007WPC Wireless Power Charger (Large Animal, TR871)
Accessories:
- The MLE1140 Blood Pressure starter pack with instruments (TRStartBP) includes surgical instruments and components required to implant arterial transmitters in rats
- The MLE1141 Blood Pressure consumable pack (TRCsbBP) includes consumable items required to implant arterial transmitters in rats (excludes surgical instruments)
- The MLE1150 Telemetry Antenna Extension (TRAntX) for Telemetry Receivers consists of a four metre extension cable between receiver and antenna. The antenna extension enables the antenna to be placed closer to the animal in large animal cages, in situations where the receiver cannot be placed near cage
Scheduled data recording:
Scheduled recordings of the pressure and temperature channels can be made consecutively from up to 8x transmitters (each transmitting on a unique frequency), using:
- ML880B104 Telemetry Pressure Foundation System, and either
- MLE1006CPS Wireless Continuous Power Supplier (Small Animal, TR802, included with the Foundation System) or the MLE1007WPC Wireless Power Charger (Large Animal, TR871, purchased separately) and
- the required number of compatible telemetry transmitters
Continuous data recording:
The MLE1014 Telemetry Pressure Transmitter supports continuous charging/recording in rats. Continuous recording of the pressure and temperature channels can be made from up to 8x transmitters (each transmitting on a unique frequency), using:
- ML880B104 Telemetry Pressure Foundation System,
- the required number (N)x of compatible telemetry transmitters,
- (N-1)x MLE1006CPS Wireless Continuous Power Supplier for small animals (TR802),
- (N-1)x MLE1131SUB Pressure Subsidiary Receiver (TR131SUB) and
- the required number of MLAC01 BNC-BNC cables
Data Acquisition and Analysis:
The PowerLab 16/30 is shipped with ADInstruments software (LabChart and Scope), associated manuals and cables. LabChart Pro software includes all the ADInstruments LabChart Modules (excluding GLP). LabChart Pro Modules provide application specific data acquisition, analysis and display features.

In purchasing this system containing LabChart Pro, customers are entitled to 5 years of FREE LabChart Pro software upgrades and updates. Purchasers are also entitled to any new ADInstruments modules released during this 5 year period (excludes GLP software).
