Overview:
The SPR-869 Millar P-V catheters have revolutionized cardiovascular research in small animals. These ultra-miniature catheters are capable of measuring both ventricular pressure and volume simultaneously and continuously from the intact beating hearts of rats and mice.
The SPR-869 is an ultra-miniature P-V Catheter (2.0F Polyimide Nylon) suitable for use in rats with an effective length of 12.5cm. The pairs of platinum electrodes are separated by 0.5mm with the distance between each pair of 6.0mm. The pressure sensor is located in the center, between the two pairs of electrodes.
The SPR-869 can be used with:
- PL3516B49 MPVS-Ultra Foundation System
- PL3508B48/R MPVS-Ultra Single Segment Foundation System for Rats
- 880-0168SS MPVS-Ultra Single Segment Pressure-Volume Unit
- Requires 880-0170BNC MPVS-Ultra Single Segment Cable Pack
- MPVS-400 Pressure-Volume Unit (replaced by 880-0168SS MPVS-Ultra Single Segment Pressure-Volume Unit)
- Requires a PEC-4D Catheter Interface Cable (Low Profile to Redel, 4ft) for pressure measurement
- Requires a CEC-4B Conductance Catheter Connection Cable (discontinued) for volume measurement
