The ML870B70 System is designed for extracellular recordings from high-impedance microelectrodes that require a high gain, low noise amplifier along with the ability to inject current. The system includes a Capacitance Compensation Probe that contains the first preamplifier gain block and capacitance neutralization control on the probe itself. The voltage gain of the preamplifier is very high (50 - 10000), thereby removing the need for additional amplification between the microelectrode and recording instrument.
The system includes a PowerLab 8/30 with LabChart and LabChart Pro software providing sampling rates of up to 400 kHz (aggregate). The LabChart Pro package includes the Spike Histogram Module for Windows and Macintosh, providing the user with the ability to detect, discriminate and analyze extracellular neural spike activity online. Recorded spikes can also be reanalyzed offline with modified settings.

Scope), associated manuals and cables. The ML870/P is also supplied with
LabChart Pro software which includes all the ADInstruments LabChart Modules (excluding GLP). LabChart Modules provide application specific data acquisition, analysis and display features.

In purchasing this system containing LabChart Pro entitles the purchaser to 5 years of FREE LabChart Pro software upgrades and updates. Purchasers are also entitled to any ADInstruments modules released during this 5 year period (excludes GLP software).
