The Two Channel Perivascular/Tubing Flow System includes a PowerLab 8/30, LabChart, Scope and LabChart Pro analysis software, Perivascular Flowmeter Module and Tubing Flowmeter Module in a Dual Channel Console. Selecting and purchasing (separately) the appropriate Flowprobe (vascular) or Flowsensor (tubing), this system is used to measure blood flow in a single blood vessel from a range of animal species as well as fluid flow in laboratory tubing.

Flowprobe Selection & Ordering:
For a guide to the appropriate flow probe for measurement of blood flow in a specific vessel in a specific species view the Probe Application Guide. Detailed information about the physical and operational specifications of the Flowprobes is available in the Perivascular Probe Specifications. When ordering a Perivascular Flowprobe please consult the Flowprobe Ordering Guide.

Flowsensor Selection & Ordering:
PXL-Series Sterile Flowsensors:
Most non-aerated liquids can be measured including saline and buffer solutions, blood, water and even Diesel fuel. No physical contact is made with the fluid media. PXL-Series Flowsensors can be calibrated and programmed for up to 4 different fluid / temperature / tubing combinations and will work with most flexible tubing types. Sensor size is determined by outside diameter of the tubing.

Ordering:
For a guide to the most appropriate flow sensor for measurement of tubing flow consult the PXL Flowsensor Guide. To order a PXL-series flowsensor please complete the PXL Flowsensor Order Form.

PXN- Series In-line Flowsensors:
PXN-In-Line Flowsensors splice into laboratory tubing and measure absolute volume flow of blood and other fluids. The new four-transducer sensor design offers precision accuracy for flows from less than 1 ml/min up to flows of 100 liters/min. Flow range sensitivity is scaled to sensor size and flow is measured equally well across the full dynamic range of the sensor with little sensitivity to turbulence. Sizes 4PXN - 25PXN have barbed ultem tubing ends (barb) to mate easily to flexible laboratory tubing. Miniature sizes 1PXN - 3 PXN may be cut to length for insertion into small tubing circuits or perfusion apparatus. PXN inline sensors can be calibrated for up to four fluid/temperature combinations for highest accuracy performance in isolated organ setups.

Ordering:
For a guide to the most appropriate flow sensor for measurement of tubing flow consult the PXN Flowsensor Guide. To order a PXN-series flowsensor please complete and submit the PXN Flowsensor Order Form.

For further assistance or information in selecting a Flowprobe consult your nearest ADInstruments representative or contact ADInstruments support.

Data Acquisition and Analysis:

The PowerLab 8/30 is shipped with ADInstruments software (LabChart and Scope), associated manuals and cables. The ML870/P is also supplied with LabChart Pro software which includes all the ADInstruments LabChart Modules (excluding GLP). LabChart Modules provide application specific data acquisition, analysis and display features.

The modules currently available include:

In purchasing this system containing LabChart Pro entitles the purchaser to 5 years of FREE LabChart Pro software upgrades and updates. Purchasers are also entitled to any ADInstruments modules released during this 5 year period (excludes GLP software).

For more information see the LabChart Pro page or contact your nearest ADInstruments representative.
