Overview:
The CS200 Combined Pulse/Train Stimulator (4 channels) is a four channel pulse/train current (0-200mA) stimulator designed for use with myograph and tissue-organ baths, where electrical stimulation is required and is optimized for in vitro muscle stimulation.
The CS200 stimulator provides a variety of stimulation mode choices such as single, continuous and frequency regulated steps. The latter is particularly useful when evaluating the vascular neuro-muscular junction.
Myograph field stimulation studies will require special chamber covers (purchased separately) to place the electrodes. Please contact your nearest ADInstruments representative for more information.
Features:
- Specially designed for use with myograph systems requiring current stimulation
- Enables a variety of stimulation mode choices
- User friendly
- All protocol parameters are easily entered from the front panel
- Can be applied on a custom basis or to all channels
- Programmed protocols can be stored in one of the five internal program memories and are easily reloaded
- Easy to connect to a computer using the standard RS232 serial interface
- Multiple connections (up to four stimulators or via myograph systems) are supported using the RS485 connection without needing any additional amplifiers
Applications:
For in vitro tissue stimulation including
- vascular smooth muscle stimulation
- producing controlled perivascular or tissue embedded neurotransmitter release
