Overview:
The DMT120CW Confocal Wire Myograph is specifically designed for obtaining highly resolved images of fluorescent dyes within living tissues (> 60 µm) using laser-scanning confocal microscopy (LSCM). In combination with LSCM, simultaneous measurements of isometric forces and intracellular Calcium or pH can be made. The DMT120CW includes a control unit with temperature control, built-in high-resolution force transducer and micrometer.
The control unit has analog output which can be connected directly to a PowerLab BNC input. The Confocal Wire Myograph System is also available and includes a PowerLab data acquisition system, LabChart Pro and DMT120CW. Optical components are NOT included.

- Myograph connection cable with a temperature probe
- Power cord (The shape of the AC plug varies by country; be sure that the plug has the right shape for your location)

- Calibration kit (including bridge , balance and 2 gram weight)

Warranty Exclusion
- DMT force and pressure transducers, either separately or part of myograph systems manufactured by DMT A/S, are disclaimed from any warranty

Applications:
The DMT120CW Confocal Wire Myograph is specifically designed for obtaining highly resolved images of fluorescent dyes within living tissues using laser-scanning confocal microscopy. It is ideal for physiological and pharmacological investigations using arterial microvessels, and a variety of other tissue types such as small veins, renal arcuate arteries, bronchi and ureter. The technique, is suited to vessels with internal diameters > 60 μm.Parameters which can be measured include:
- Normalized internal diameter
- Measuring tissue wall thickness
- Isometric (force) responses to drugs (agonists/antagonists)
- Simultaneous measurements of isometric response and cell membrane potential
- Simultaneous measurements of isometric responses and ion concentrations inside the cell
- Analysis of tissue fixed under clearly defined conditions for microscope measurements
- Fluorescent Microscopy; Intracellular [Ca2+] or pH.
