Overview:
The GT201/F16 Channel Bio Amp is a fully isolated, stand-alone biological amplifier that is optimized for the measurement of up to 16 biopotentials on a single subject. It consists of 8 modules, with each module containing two channel amplifiers that share a common ground input. The ground inputs from channels 1 to 8 are internally linked, as are channels 9 to 16. The hardware modules are provided with two ranges(500 µV/5 mV) and filter settings (Low-Pass: 100 Hz/1 kHz; High-Pass:0.5/2 Hz) that are selected via DIP-switches located at the rear of the unit.
LabChart (or Chart) software provides further adjustment of the amplifier range and filter settings to suit a variety of biological signals. This bioamplifier is particularly suitable for EEG, ECG/EKG, EMG and/or EOG recordings and can be used for both unipolar and bipolar recordings. It is supplied with a Sub-D to BNC cable for connecting each channel output to PowerLab data acquisition as well as a medical-grade power supply. An 8-Channel Bio Amp is also available.
Electrodes are NOT supplied with the 16-Channel Bio Amp and must be ordered separately. Suitable electrodes and lead wires include the:
- MLAWBT9 Flat EEG Electrodes for recording ECG, EEG, EOG and EMG
- MLA0315 Lead Wires (unshielded, 5 snap on)
- MLA1010B Disposable ECG Electrodes.
Ordering Information:
When ordering please specify mains frequency F = 50 or 60 for 50 Hz or 60 Hz mains frequency.

Applications:
Any application in which the researcher wishes to record more than 2 biopotentials, such as EEG, EMG, EOG and ECG recordings from a single subject will require an 8 or 16 Channel Bio Amp. Common research applications include:
• Sleep Studies
• Multichannel EEG
• Psychophysiology
The 16 Channel Bio Amp is designed for use in teaching and research applications. It is NOT intended for clinical or critical life-care use and should NEVER be used for these purposes.
