The Spirometer Pod measures respiratory flow rates in humans in conjunction with an appropriate respiratory flow head and PowerLab. Respiratory parameters such as minute ventilation and tidal volume along with PIF, PEF, FVC and FEV
1 are calculated using the Spirometry Extension (
Win and
Mac) and
LabChart or LabChart software. A respiratory experiment using this kit is also available in
LabTutor.
Applications: Differential pressure, airflow, and respiratory functions.
