Overview:
The PTB266 Neurobiology Teaching System is a teaching bundle that offers an ML846 PowerLab 4/26 data acquisition unit and software, LabChart making it ideal for teaching. Included in the system are specific amplifiers and headstages suitable for extracellular or intracellular recordings neurobiology courses/curricula. The system includes the MLT012/B Nerve Chamber which is suitable for use with the Earthworm Action Potential and Frog Sciatic Nerve experiments. The system is ideal for use with the Crawdad Neurophysiology Experiments.The student experiments are conducted using invertebrates and include making recordings of motor nerve activity, spontaneous reflex activity, stretch receptor function, resting potential as well as measuring synaptic plasticity of neuromuscular preparations.
