Teflon Insulated Silver Wire (7.5 m)

Teflon Insulated Silver Wire (7.5 m)

Overview:

The SP0139 Teflon Insulated Silver Wire (7.5 m) can be used for recording potentials in isolated tissue including the isolated heart or other electrophysiological applications. The silver wire has a 99.99% purity and  a nominal American Wire Gauge (AWG) of 32 for the bare silver wire and 30 including the insulation. The "bare diameter" is 200 µm and the "coated diameter" is 280 µm.

Typical Tolerances:

  • For the bare wires = ± 1.27µm
  • For insulation thickness from 25.4 µm to 31.75 µm = ±12.7 µm
  • For insulation thickness from 38.1 µm to 50.8 µm = ± 25.4 µm
  • For insulation thickness from 50.8 µm to 63.5 µm = ± 50.8 µm

Therefore total insulated diameter tolerances = bare wire tolerance + 2x insulation thickness tolerance
