Pressure Catheter (2.5F, Dual, Straight, 135cm, PU)

Overview:

The SPR-721 is an ultra-miniature Pressure Catheter (2.5F Polyurethane) with a two pressure sensors, the first mounted at the tip and the second 5 cm proximal. The catheter has a straight tip and an effective length of 135 cm. It provides a simple, efficient and highly accurate method for measuring pressures in the heart and vascular system in small animals.

The SPR-721 is reusable and repairable. The catheter has a Viking connector for each pressure signal and therefore requires two AEC-10C Catheter Interface Cables for connection to any ADInstruments bridge amplifier. Two amplifiers are required if the catheter is connected to a single bridge amplifier such as the FE221 Bridge Amp.

Calibration
A Pressure Gauge kit which provides the necessary items to calibrate the Mikro-Tip pressure transducer is available.

Applications:

This Mikro-Tip Dual Pressure Catheter allows pressure measurements between a ventricle and artery or between atrium and ventricle. These catheters are suitable for measuring pressure gradients across a valve, between chambers, or across a vascular stenosis.
