Spirometer Pod

Overview:

The ML311 Spirometer Pod measures respiratory flow rates in humans in conjunction with an appropriate respiratory flow head and PowerLab. Respiratory parameters such as minute ventilation and tidal volume along with PIF, PEF, FVC and FEV₁ are calculated using the Spirometry Extension (Win and Mac) and LabChart or LabChart software. A respiratory experiment using this kit is also available in LabTutor.

For use with:
MLT300L Respiratory Flow Head 300L (humans at rest)
MLT1000L Respiratory Flow Head 1000L (humans during exercise)
MLT3813H-V Heated Pneumotach 800L and Heater Controller (humans during exercise)

Hardware:
ADInstruments signal conditioners only function with PowerLab data acquisition units and therefore are not suitable for use with other data acquisition systems.

Features:

• Low noise and low air flow resolution
• Low-pass filtering fixed at 30 Hz
• When used with ADInstruments respiratory flow heads and the Spirometry  LabChart Extension software, compensated volume and forced respiratory parameters can also be determined.

Applications:

The Spirometer Pod is suitable for differential pressure measurements of dry noncorrosive gases such as air flow and pulmonary function measurements.
