Introduction
LabTutor makes teaching easier by combining the following into one program:
- Data analysis
- Report completion
- Report submission
- Background scientific information
- Step-by-step instructions
- Real-time data acquisition
No training is necessary to use LabTutor. The mix of step-by-step experiment instructions and interactive activities ensure that the understanding of scientific principles remain the key focus. In the past, students had to refer to manuals and use several software programs to complete experiments and laboratory reports. Now all they need is LabTutor.
Wide Range of Experiments
A wide range of Human, Animal and Biology experiments is available. Experiments are supplied with the LabTutor software CD and are also available from the LabTutor Experiments page, where new and updated experiments are added on a regular basis.

Language Support
Experiments are available in English, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Japanese and Chinese. All the instructions, data acquisition, analysis and reporting sections are presented in the native language.
Uses Familiar Internet Explorer Display
The LabTutor interface is very simple to use. Everything from the experiment protocol, through to data acquisition, analysis and reporting is displayed within the familiar Internet Explorer browser. Internet connection is not required.
Easier for Students
LabTutor not only guides students through the installed sets of experiments. Its interactive features enhance the learning experience by reducing the complexity of data acquisition and increasing the significance of the relationship between the recorded data, its analysis and the questions posed in the report section.
Easier for Educators
Pre-experiment preparation is virtually eliminated by including all the information and required tools within the LabTutor experiments. No written notes or settings files are required. Each experiment is ready to go. Filter and range adjustments are not necessary. Acquired data, analysis and written reports are automatically and conveniently saved within one file for easy review or printing.
LabTutor at a Glance
Introduction and Setup
After reading the background information pages, students can follow the clearly presented experimental setup procedures.
Data AcquisitionThe "plug and play" nature of LabTutor systems allows students to start collecting data immediately using the preformatted settings.
AnalysisThe analysis section includes a number of interactive tools that aid extraction of required data and comprehension of physiological principles.
Reporting and SubmittingIn the report section, students can type in their answers to a set of questions. Students are able to refer to recorded data, tables and graphs without going back as these are automatically transferred into this section. Reports can be printed for submission, emailed to a specified address or saved to a hard disk or network location.
