Multiple block sampling
You can record multiple blocks of data with different sampling speeds, filter settings and amplification, all within a single file. A pop-up for each data block displays the recording settings within the block.
Disk Buffering
Data is automatically stored in a buffer, protecting your recording in the event of a power failure or accidental power disconnection of the PowerLab.
Software controlled settings
All gain ranges and filter settings can be quickly and precisely set using the software, therefore no knobs or buttons are required to configure the hardware.
Input Amplifier
This feature allows you to preview the signal in real time prior to recording. This helps you to select the appropriate amplification, filter settings, perform units conversion and others to optimize your recording parameters.
32 Channels with variable sampling speeds
You are provided with up to 32 channels of data acquisition and analysis. You can set these channels to have the same sampling speed, or each recording channel can have its own sampling speed, reducing file sizes.
Split Bar
Split Chart View to observe and compare previously recorded data as you continue to record and view your online data. Each split view contains its own time-axis which you scroll along, expand or condense.
Customizable comments
Add comments during or after recording. You can add comments in a specific channel or all channels offline. Following a recording you can easily find, edit, move and delete comments in the data file.
Channel calculations
Apply many powerful calculations to any signal, online or offline, without losing the raw data. You can perform cyclic analysis, differentiate and integrate recorded signals. There are also many digital filter and signal smoothing optionsin LabChart.
DVM
View a numerical display of the amplitude, sampling rate or calculated value of any signal in a stand alone, resizeable mini-window.
LabChart Modules & Extensions
A wide range of specialized software add-ons that can help you analyze your data easily and faster. Extensions provide simple data analysis and saving features while modules provide an advanced suite of analysis options.
Editable Macros (Windows)
Automate your recording and analysis with macros. Basic or complex macros may be programmed and edited to suit your needs.
Cyclic Measurements (Windows)/Cyclic Variables (Mac)
Perform various cyclic analyses on periodic signals. A wide range of statistics and functions is available online and offline. Customizable presets are also available to assist with accurate and fast detection of the periodical signals.
Toolbar
Use the new toolbar to access your favorite features and customize the layout for optimum recording or analysis views
Right Clicking
Quickly access features in LabChart with a click of your mouse. Right-clicking the mouse button on certain panels will display pop-up options for your selection.
Find and Select
Use the Find and Select function to locate data of interest quickly and accurately. You can go to the start of the file or find data marked by comments.
Data Pad
Extract and log data and statistics to a spreadsheet manually or automatically. Data Pad (Windows) support OLE linking. Therefore, you can automate data extraction in real time to other applications that support OLE linking.
XY Plot
Plot variables against each other to observe their relationships as XY or XYY displays. When the result of the plot is a loop, you can also show the direction of the loop and calculate the area of the loop.
Zoom View
Magnify the view of the data to obtain more detail. You can zoom into the data several times in the Zoom View window by continually selecting data of interest. This zooming process is recorded and therefore, allows you to scroll back and forward.
Marker Tool
Mark a reference point on the recorded data and measure differences in the X and Y axis to that point. In the Zoom View, you can also measure differences in the X-axis between two points from two recorded data signals.
Save As
Save and export as LabChart data files, setting files, text files, an Excel file as well as a number of proprietary formats.
