LabChart v6 for Windows^® and Mac^® OS is available for download.

General Information

LabChart v6 is compatible with the latest Windows and Macintosh operating systems and offers new features to make your experiment process more effective and efficient.

New key features include:

• Support for 32 channels – LabChart 6 supports twice as many channels as any previous version of Chart. In addition to recording up to 16 channels of raw data using a PowerLab data acquisition unit, you will now be able to use more channels to display and compare analyzed and calculated signals.
• Variable Sampling Speeds – Integrated recordings are now easier with the ability to vary sampling speeds across different channels in the same LabChart file. You can now simultaneously record signals as different as breathing activity and an EMG using the appropriate sampling speed for each signal in the same data file.

• Smart Layout – Mac OS X and Windows Vista have set new standards for software layout and appearance. LabChart 6 meets and exceeds these standards with a new graphical toolbar, and a layout you can customize to suit your screen and analysis.

• Editable Macros in LabChart for Windows – LabChart for Windows users can now edit their existing macros, rather than creating entirely new macros for every minor change in recording protocols.

• Native Performance on Intel Macs - LabChart for Mac is our first Universal Binary software application. This means that LabChart 6 will automatically run at peak performance on both Intel and Power PC Macs.
  
• Supported by LabChart Reader – We have released LabChart Reader, a software application that can read and analyze LabChart data files. LabChart Reader is available as a free download, so you’ll be able to view your data files on any computer in any location, and share your data more easily.
• Compatibility – LabChart 6 is compatible with Windows XP, Windows Vista and Mac OS X (10.4 or later). Support for PowerLab® SP, ST, 20, 25, 15, 26 and 30 series. LabChart 6 does not support any SCSI MacLab or PowerLab data acquisition units.

General Features:

• Fast and easy set up using the Channel Settings dialog.

• Data Pad also allows you to reselect LabChart data corresponding to Data Pad rows, recalculate rows and replace rows.

• Flexible triggering and stimulation options.

• Addition of comments during or after recording.
• Auto Scale allows the user to scale data automatically for all displayed channels.
• Data Pad provides a powerful and easy means of extracting experimental data. Users can log any raw or calculated signal from any channel into the Data Pad. The addition of values can be automated prior to recording using 'Timed Add to Data Pad'.

• OLE capabilities allow LabChart for Windows users to export data from the LabChart window or the Data Pad to Excel or any OLE compatible software. Any changes in LabChart can be set to automatically update data in Excel.
• Cyclic Measurements can calculate: rate, period, frequency, mean, minimum, maximum, 1/3 maximum + 2/3 minimum, height, integral, variance, minimum derivative and maximum derivative. This single dialog can be used to perform calculations on real time (online) or already recorded (offline) data.

• Right-clicking (Control-Clicking for Macinstosh users) allows you to access commands for many LabChart features.
• To view data in detail LabChart display options include Overlay, Zoom View, DVM Windows and XY View.


• The Split bar feature allows the user to divide the display area and allow the user to review and compare previously recorded data with that being acquired.

• Disk buffering protect your recording even in the event of a power failure by automatically storing data in a buffer.
• The 'Experiments Gallery' feature enables quick and easy management of any files from within the LabChart program. You can store your experiment related files (LabChart data files, settings files, text documents, pdfs and others) in the one place and open from within the Experiments Gallery.

• "Check for Updates" allows LabChart to check for and alert you about new versions of LabChart, LabChart Extensions and LabChart Modules available for download from our Software Updates section.
