Energy Expenditure and Exercise (Korean)
Students will investigate ventilation and gas exchange at three different levels of exercise. They will calculate the rate of metabolic energy consumption as a function of mechanical energy expenditure.
In this experiment, students will be able to:
- Explain the principles of energy expenditure and changes in energy metabolism during exercise
- Set up and perform metabolic testing in a laboratory
- Describe the cardio-respiratory changes at different exercise levels
- Describe 'energy expenditure' of a participant during exercise
