Chick Biventer Cervicis (English)

Students will examine the pharmacology of the neuromuscular junction by determining the recruitment profile of the muscle to nerve stimulation and observing the influence of several drugs on neural evoked responses.

In this experiment, students will understand the effects on the isolated biventer cervicis muscle from:


• Nerve stimulation
• Interactions between acetylcholine and tubocurarine
• Interactions between high K⁺ solutions and tubocurarine
• Suxamethonium
