Visual Evoked Potential (VEP) (English)
The aim of this experiment is for students to use the technique of the electroencephalogram, or EEG, to record a visual evoked potential. Students will use the Scope software to complete this experiment. First students will record a visual evoked potential using a flash stimulus; this recording will be compared to that of a checkerboard pattern reversal stimulus. Students will be able to make conclusions about the type of stimuli used in research and clinical settings and determine which variables work best to complete the experiment successfully.
Visual pathways from the retina in the eye to the visual cortex.
