Introduction to LabTutor Familiarization with LabTutor software and PowerLab hardware. Basic features of acquisition, analysis and reporting are covered using LabTutor.
Introduction to Spectrophotometry In this experiment students develop a strategy to assist a client with a toxic waste disposal problem using spectrophotometry techniques.
Acid-Base Titration In this experiment, students will explore the principles of acids, bases and buffers by performing titration analysis.
Biological Membranes In this experiment, students test the effects of various solvent and temperature treatments on the integrity of cell membranes.
Cellular Respiration Students will measure the effect of pH and substrate changes on the rate of cellular respiration.
Photosynthesis - Carbon Dioxide Fixation Students will measure the rate of photosynthesis by recording the pH change in a buffered solution.
Photosynthesis - Oxygen Production Students will measure the rate of photosynthesis by recording the change in oxygen concentration in a buffered solution.
Temperature Effects on Enzyme Performance In this experiment students will measure the effect of various temperatures on the enzyme, catechol oxidase.
