A Disk Image is a safe and convenient method of
transferring files. Disk Image files have the '.dmg' file extension
and mount automatically on Mac OS X. There is no need to install
a separate application to access the files on a Disk image.
Note: ADInstruments Windows software available from this web site
is saved in executable '.exe' file format. It does not need to be expanded before use.
Downloading and Installing from
a Disk Image
To download a '.dmg' file from the web site, simply click
the appropriate link. The file will download onto your computer. Depending on how your
browser is configured, the downloaded file may then be mounted automatically
(settings in the Preference menu of your browser determine this). If
not, you will have to mount it before you can use it. To mount a
.dmg file manually, simply double-click it.
Double-click on the installer to automatically install the ADInstruments
software to the LabChart folder.
