The Data Pad is a LabChart window where you can choose parameters
to be extracted from selections of data, and record the results.
Open the Data Pad by choosing it from LabCharts Windows menu or click
the Data Pad button in the Tool Bar (Figure 1). Click on a Column header
to open the Column Setup dialog box (Figure 2). This dialog box has two
scrolling lists that contain the many forms of information that could
be recorded, whether derived or direct. The left-hand list gives the
general information type, and the right-hand list displays the options
available in that set. The selected option is briefly explained in a
box beneath the two lists. Some LabChart Modules and Extensions add extra analysis options to the Data Pad. Figure 1. The Data Pad window as seen in LabChart for
Windows.

for Windows.
To analyse data of interest, make a selection from the
LabChart window. Choose the Add to Data Pad menu command. The values from
subsequent selections of analysed data are logged to successive rows
of the Data Pad.
The contents of the Data Pad can be copied for transfer to other applications
and printed. The Data Pad settings and contents are saved as part of
the LabChart Data file. The settings can be saved in a LabChart Settings file,
and the Data Pad contents saved as a text file.
For further information about the Data Pad, refer to Chapter 6 of the LabChart
Users Guide.
