New Features
Channel Calculations
- The Spirometry Minute Ventilation channel calculation calculates the volume of air exhaled from the lungs in one minute. It uses either raw flow data or a Spirometry Flow channel as its source, and also allows an update interval to be specified.
- The Spirometry Tidal Volume channel calculation calculates the expired air volume using either bi-directional or expiratory only flow. It takes either raw flow data or a Spirometry Flow channel as its source.
Reset Option
- The Spirometry Volume channel calculation now includes the option of resetting the volume to zero at the end of each breath.
- A new demo file has been included with this release to illustrate the new volume reset feature.
Getting Started Tutorial
A Getting Started Tutorial outlining how to use the Spirometry extension has been added. It is available from the Spirometry menu within LabChart.
New Parameters in Spirometry Report
The Spirometry Report now displays the Time of inspiration (Ti) and Time of expiration (Te) for each breath.
Toolbar
Spirometry adds a toolbar group to the LabChart toolbar, with buttons for Settings, Flow-Volume Plot, Report and Data Window.
Changes Since Previous Version
Online Help
The Spirometry menu item under the LabChart Help menu has been removed. Spirometry help is now accessed via the LabChart Help Center.
Report
The Spirometry report now correctly shows the document title when printed.
32,000 Sample Limit
Previous versions of Spirometry where limited to analyzing a maximum of 32,000 samples at a time, this limit has been removed for this release.
Language Support
Spirometry v2.1 is available in the English language only.
