Release Notes for Metabolic v1.2

New Features
    Close all Windows Menu Item
Added a Close All Windows option to the Metabolic menu.

    Demo Files and Evaluation Material
The Metabolic Module installer adds a new settings file, Exercise Physiology Settings.adiset, to the Experiments Gallery. Designed for quick setup of the Metabolic Module with the Exercise Physiology System it also includes a new demo file based on the same settings, along with evaluation material.
Demo and settings files installed by earlier versions of the Metabolic Module will not be deleted by installing the Metabolic 1.2, and will remain alongside the newly installed files.

    Environment Settings Range
Allowed ranges for settings in the Environment tab have been significantly increased:
Pressure 0 - 10000 mmHg
Air temperature -250 - 250 °C
Breath temperature -250 - 250 °C
Relative humidity 0 - 200%

    Evaluation Mode
The Metabolic module can be used without a license for evaluation purposes only. In evaluation mode analysis is limited to 300 seconds and no Log Window is available. The standard limitations of no copying or pasting of data and plots are also in effect.

    Gas Calibration
A calibration can now be restarted from the Metabolic Gas Calibration dialog if the calibration has failed. If the calibration has failed, the Start button label will change to read Restart.

    GLP Requirements
  • Metabolic windows printed with the GLP module installed now include the GLP footer, showing document GLP status, the user who printed the document, etc.
  • The Report tab (formerly the Report Printing tab) in the Metabolic Settings dialog now has an 'Environment report' option. This allows the Environment settings to be included in the report, which is important when the module is being used in conjunction with GLP.
  • The Metabolic Report now includes a 'General Details' section which includes the selection information, printed as time of day, e.g. "Selection: 11:36:48.74 AM to 11:46:40.74 AM".

  •     Hardware Selection
If the Automatic option is selected, the Metabolic module will attempt to assign Channel associations by looking for channels with appropriate units. e.g. L/s for Flow channel.

        Metabolic Plots
  • Double-clicking on a comment in a Metabolic view will display the data at that comment position in the Chart View.
  • Comments are now drawn in Metabolic views that have a time axis, according to the settings made in the General group box of the Chart Setup | Display Settings dialog.

  •     Temperature units
There is now a Temperature unit dropdown in the Environment tab of the Metabolic Settings dialog. This allows Air temperature and Breath temperature settings to be specified in °F and K as well as °C.
