National Workshop cum CME on Clinical Autonomic Quantitation

AIIMS, Nagpur is organizing a Workshop cum CME on the three autonomic functions i.e. Heart Rate Variability (HRV), Ewing’s battery of tests, and Tilt table testing. The program will begin with lectures on the underlying physiology, patient preparation, indications for autonomic testing and then address factors that affect the results of these autonomic tests.

The heart of the workshop will be hands-on demonstrations of specific autonomic function tests, including Heart Rate Variability (HRV), Baroreflex Sensitivity Testing (BRS), Ewing’s tests of cardio-vagal function (heart rate response to deep breathing and to the Valsalva maneuver), and tests of adrenergic function (Postural challenge test, Isometric exercise testing, and cold pressor test).
